Appointment Policy

We are aware of school policies that make it difficult for children to be out of school for any reason. However, medical and dental appointments are excused absences with a doctor's note and signature stating that the child was in the office. If needed, we will be more than happy to give you a note documenting the child’s visit.

  1. A parent or legal guardian must accompany any child under the age of eighteen to all appointments.
  2. For your consideration and consideration of others we respectfully request that no food, drinks, or cell phones be in any waiting or treatment areas.
  3. Arriving 15 minutes late for any appointment may require rescheduling.  Please call if you are going to be late. We will do our best to work you into our schedule.
  4. We suggest you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with the child when the parent is not present. Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, you may come with your child to the treatment room. Parents are always welcomed in the treatment area.

Your cooperation in complying with these guidelines is appreciated. We are concerned with school policies and believe these schedules will best benefit every patient. It is our desire to serve each and every one of you without causing your child to miss extensive school time. We appreciate you choosing our office for your child's dental care.

Do I stay with my child during the visit?

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, you are more than welcome to accompany your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.

We are committed to providing your child with the highest standards of dental care. We welcome your child and family into our practice and we will strive to make your child's dental experience positive and pleasant. In order to achieve these goals, and focus on caring for your child, we need your assistance and understanding of our financial policy.

We accept Medicaid, Smiles For Children, and most private and governmental insurances.

Dental insurance is meant to be an aid in receiving dental care. Many patients think that their insurance pays 90%-100% of all dental fees. This is not true! Most plans only pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee. Some pay more, some pay less. The percentage paid is usually determined by the type of contract your employer has set up with the insurance company. We can preauthorize our procedures so that you are fully aware of your estimated balance.

We make every effort to keep the cost of dental care down. If your child’s treatment program requires several visits, you may be given an estimate and asked to discuss definite financial arrangements with our office business staff

Payment for dental procedures is expected at the time of service.
